Hey all. I must of borked something bad changing MID and or other setting using this program.
I cannot send/ receive calls or texts.
Please help asap
I kept the directory# as my own #. Didn't change anything, I thought, except the MID itself.
if someone is familiar with program and what to check/not check, it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: QPST help- URGENT!!

Please explain what you where trying to do, and exactly what you did.
I'm sure we can fix it and make it better, I'm just not good at guessing.

Re: QPST help- URGENT!!

Thank you kindly. I'll post more info when I have time later this afternoon / evening.

Re: QPST help- URGENT!!

The more info the better. Leave links to any tutorials you may have used as well.

Re: QPST help- URGENT!!

Well Andy, I somewhat went off off this as far as getting started as an "idea"
http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-a...optimus-v.html
I initially already had my MSL# written down from when I changed the PRL months back.
What I basically did using QPST was changing ONLY the 10 digit numbers around. For example, matched MIN to my actual cell # so the area codes would be the same to see what would happen...signal wise or whatnot.
I didn't see any change after the reboot so I changed the 10 digit numbers again to something random. If I recall, these steps(changes) were only done under the CDMA and CDMA2 tabs in the program. I changed nothing else (I thought)
Under another TAB(connection?), Perferred Mode is blank, Band is set to PCS only, and Roam is set to Auto. I did toggle that back/forth to Home Only as well.
Does the original MIN that was programed into the phone have anything to do with the ROM as far as a generated or specific number for things to work? It's some 706 area code, wherever that may be! It shouldn't be right? If I flash another ROM or do a Nandroid it's obviously still there! Just like a PRL flash would be.
Really interesting!
Again, SMS and calling --send and receive are DOWN:(
When I call myself it goes directly to voicemail and when I attempt ANY type of call there's a message like "If you'd like to make a collect call to a mobile phone....yada yada yada.."
SMS, as I said, do not get sent(undelivered) *!*
Thank you so much for your interest and input on this:)

Re: QPST help- URGENT!!

I don't recall seeing anything associated with an AAA# Which TAB would that be under?
I'll run QPST again and probably EDIT this post.
Secondly, LGNPST link(s) are deleted what is the difference with this program anyway? for an un-rooted phone?

EDIT:
Checked and triple-checked...there was no AAA# /entry anywhere to be found.
On another note, I was following the QPST Guide/manual I have as a .pdf file while doing this.
A few other things I noticed and have questions about are:

List of mobile network codes in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MCC (Mobile County Code) is set as 310. I Googled and found it's T-Mobile & discontinued?!. Attempt to change this to maybe 026??
Under the AMPS TAB
1st paging channel is blank (guide says to enter 333 for a carrier)
Home SID blank -- the cell service provider ID #

I found a (.qcn?) file that had the ESN # in front of it and loaded that up and re-wrote to phone. Works!

Always did have data service, was calling & SMS borked. Still would like more input/insight on these things however.

Re: QPST help- URGENT!!

OK...does everything now work?
As far as more insight into the tools that are used to change/fix things try the thread: Unbricking Your Optimus V. It has more info on some of the tools for fixing data, mms/sms, and phone service.
