since ive loaded my first kernel i wanted to try others. is the quad app the best to measure whats working best? and how often do you get different scores? i ran it twice just now, first was 1250 and second was 1440.

Each time you run it, it'll usually pick up a higher score.

If I recall, that's the operating system caching some of the components of the test. You'll eventually reach a point where you max out.

Understand too that vanilla ROMs usually do a bit better. Sense requires a bit more overhead in system resources...which is why the hard core folk really don't like it.

When you get down to it, it's kinda meaningless. You can rock a 1500 Quadrant and still have a very unstable phone.
 
Yeah, I agree and have stopped worrying about "scores". All I want is stability, no lags, and a long-life battery.
