So now that the app is finally available for Lollipop, has anyone tried it and does it do something? I'm currently in the "learning phase" and eager to see if this makes a difference. I'm not too happy with my N6 battery performance, have around 3h SOT and barely make it through the day (All stock, Action 3 launcher, Brightness at day at 100% however).

Be careful of some of these battery apps. They can use more battery than they save. Your screen brightness is using most of your battery. Check what apps are currently running.

I've been curious about that app as well. I know most if not all battery savers are phoney, but it seems an app developed by Qualcomm for Snapdragon processors would have to have something good about it...
