Quality of the device?

I am wondering if you all that have the xoom can tell me how the device is holding up? I keep reading that the back of the xoom really is pretty easy to scratch. Is this true?

Currently I have an iPad from work but it is a work device and not mine. When the xoom came out i really was interested in it for the OS but i always was curious about the case of the device. It didn't seem as nice as the iPad but it looked ok.

So does this thing scratch to easy or would i definitely need a case?

Thanks and I hope you are all enjoying them...I probably have to wait until a wifi only device comes along but I thought i would ask in advance.

I don't know. I got the folio case on day 1 and have never taken it out.

Seems solid to me.

Its a solid device, sure. I did notice however that when I was taking it out of the portfolio case the the top plastic portion was easily bent away from the main frame.
