Probably never - the phone is 2 years old. It's not even on the LineageOS list.
Welcome to the forums. Lineage is a community driven custom Android ROM. They are an offshoot of CyanogenMod, who used to have a wide range of device ROMs that people could install. Thanks for the reply. I guess i will have to get new phone soon. Funny thing is my Galaxy Tab A which is older, got a nougat update.
One more question, what is LineageOS? I did search about it for a bit. But it is still not clear.

Since a lot of Independent developers often used CyanogenMod or lineage as a base, the fact that lineage has no ROM for your phone is not a good sign to be able to flash a custom ROM.

In any case thanks for the reply.
