Question about Android Central app

When viewing a post in the app, there are 3 icons on top; one to reply which has a + sign, one to view the menu which has 3 dots, and another one between them which has a + sign which changes to a minus sign when you press it, and back to a + sign when you press it again, and so forth. What does this icon mean?

A little confused here. When viewing a post within the app, there are indeed three icons (see below):

The first is the comments icon, this takes you to the comments where you can read or leave your own comments. The second is the sharing icon. This allows you to share the article via numerous methods. The final is the 'other' menu, and it will let you open the story in a browser, or copy the URL. Is this what you're talking about, or are you referring to a different screen?
