So I know I read on here that for the thunderbolt not to.download the app Keller? I wanted to see what apps are running in the background.
So when I open app Keller it shows a bunch of apps ... I kill them and then open it back up and more apps are there? Why are these apps running in the background? One is mobile IM which I don't use and I don't under stand why its opening.. does this app killer work right? Does it really mean all these apps are running?

Android keeps essential applications running in the background. By closing them, you're just forcing Android to use resources to open them back up.

No, they are not all running they held in a suspended state. they open along with normal system operations because some apps share processes. by leaving them open in the background they are not cause harm or draining battery unless they were designed to do so such as music players or navigation.

by using an app killer you are causing more harm than good as it is constantly scanning your system and chewing up battery. also as the above post stated by killing them you are forcing the system to just open them back up again.
