I have ony had mine a few days. I hate it when you plug in the headsets or external speaker and the player starts up (same for unplug off). I have always turned this feature off on other phones but I can find where to do it on the Nexus. Can someone help? Just a noob to the Neus. Have used rooted Motorolas for awhile,

I have YET to understand how some people are having this problem. I have never once had this issue with my handset and I plug into my AUX plug in my car every time im in it, Plug into my headphones ~2 times a week, and use a bluetooth earpiece frequently as well. Sorry, I dont have an answer for you, but every time i hear about this issue i just think, "WHY?"

I did just change kernels and that stopped it turning off and on. Now I do not really have an issue other than my player coming on whenever I plug in. I may just change players as some have an on off switch for this.

I was using Franco's kernel because of all the good I had read. And it did help battery life. I went to imoseyon and so far no issues.

Just curious, those this is happening to, do you have a music player widet on anyone of your homescreens? If its not affecting you, do you have NO widget on your homescreens?

this happens to me, but i have poweramp set to do it :p
Ya, I thought it might be software related at first so I uninstalled all other players but it was acting like I was plugging and unplugging the aux cord. And you would hear it for a second on the phone speaker. I also finally found the option to disable the feature in Neutron Mp, which is by far the best quality player. I would not use it unless you have a Nexus though as it needs processing power.
