I found, through these forums, that its best to turn most things off to save battery life, but I am having trouble understanding what the difference is with some of the settings are for my dx.
First of all, when I go into settings>location & security? what are the three choices for under my location? When I'm not using the phone for maps or browsing I keep all of these features unchecked. I would however like to know what each one specifically does. I have a general understanding, I think, but what's with all the choices?
Also, when I'm home I have the wifi on, but as soon as I leave I turn it off. I also turned off the feature to search for wifi cause I am told that it burns the battery up pretty fast. Is this the popular method? What is the advantage and disadvantage of using the 3G hotspot versus wifi?
