question about call quality

I have a moto Droid and am not happy with the reception. The people I call hear an echo or their voice repeating. How is the reception with the Eris? I'm thinking of switching. Thanks

I personally have fine call quality. The best thing to do is go to your Verizon store and make a few different calls from each device. It might just be your handset.

Yeah, I'll just take it in. I've read that Droid owners were having problems and wanted to know if Eris owners were too. Thanks for the input.

I had the Moto Droid and the call quality and reception were pretty poor. The Eris IMO is much much better.

I have excellent call quality (coming from the LG Dare). What's even more remarkable is the speaker phone. Most times, ppl don't even detect that I have them on speaker!

I have excellent call quality on my eris. Ive never tried a droid so I can't speak on that. Do you have an overall good signal with Verizon?

No problems with my Eris. And it's a heckuva lot better than I had with my old Treo 755. Speakerphone is better. Everything is better on it. Very happy with the quality of the actual phone.

My droid(eris) call quality is perfect. No issues, some people have said by changing their call codec to EVRC-B has helped call quality. This hack is doable on all android phones that I know of.
