Question About Camera

I am trying to decide between the V35 and Galaxy S9. The dual camera setup is nice, the S9+ has it but I discovered by reading some forums that the S9+'s 2nd camera can only save images in jpeg even in their pro mode. That is a deal breaker for me, as a photo nerd I always shoot in raw.

So I see the V35 will have 2 cameras, same hardware as the G7 ThinQ. For those who have one, my question is are you able to save photos from both cameras in RAW format? Also, I saw one review that said on the wide angle camera the quality drops off - is this true?

Honestly, I was leaning toward the S9 rather than G7 but if the V35 can do what I want I would consider that so the photo specs are important to me.

If photo quality is so crucial to someone, I believe they should get a good DSLR camera.

Not sure about the V35 but my G6 and V30 does RAW in both cameras in the DNG format.

I have one. There are times when a smaller unit and/or a much wider lens would come in handy. I've had good success using Photoshop with raw images and they look great. The larger aperture of the new phone cameras would help too.

On all LG flagships you get RAW from both sensors. The quality of the second lens used to drop off a bit but since they're using the same 16mp sensor for both, it shouldn't be as much as before.
