Question about do not disturb

Hi all. On do not disturb, what is the difference between showing messages and "conversations?" You can allow messages from any of your contacts in your phone during 'do not disturb' on and at the same time not allow any "conversations".

I don't know what this means.

I'll throw this out. A message is simply a message while a conversation can be a threaded messages or chats. I would not swear to that under oath. OK for contact to send a message but a chat request won't be allowed?
