Question about gifs

So I have a note 8 and currently have SwiftKey as my board of choice for messaging. Well at first when I got the phone sending gifs was fine. It showed the gif live and I would send it in a text message and it showed in real time. Well I tried sending a gif yesterday and it only showed the website link. The person receiving the message would have to click the link and then it would show the gif. I'm not sure what's wrong, not a huge deal but annoying can anyone help?

Yea but I've tried ones that worked before and they don't work now. I even factory reset my phone and it worked at first. And then hrs later it stopped. Idk

I use giphy for my Gifs and they send just fine.

Swiftkey used to work with GIFs with the stock messaging app. The Swiftkey Beta version was the first to change, where it gave a link instead of the GIF. And the recent update of the regular Swiftkey did the same thing. There are many complaints on the Swiftkey forums.
