Currently I have an HTC ONE X+. It has a nvidia tega 3 quad-core processor(actually 5 if you count the 500mhz under-clocked battery saving processor :D ) And I LOVE it. Anyways,I know nothing about Gpu's. I know the name of a few such as Sammy's mail-400,Adreno,and my Tegra 3 GeForce Gpu. I want to know which one I'd better and how.? Tegra 3 is obviously a gaming processor cause of the Tegra 3 Only Titles. I'd also like to know what differentiates Gpu from Gpu aside from the actual mhz and who makes them.
Thank you. :)

It's no mere smartphone, it's the HTC ONE X+.

Well the gpu's dont really differentiate between each other other than architecture, the adreno 320 is newer than the tegra 3 and mali so therefore it can perform slightly better than the tegra and mali. The tegra 3, mali and adreno are all quad core and I think have similar clock speed, but aside from architecture they perform pretty much the same in the real world and a tegra 3 game running on adreno 320 or mali you wouldnt really see a difference.

The Mali T604 ticking inside the Nexus 10 is next gen, though. If it can power that many pixels at reasonable frame rates, I wonder what it could do on a 1280x720 smartphone.

See the stickies in this section.

The biggest difference like you said is the software. It's hard to justify all the power if it's not taken advantage of by the software. :-)

Yeah hes righ there! Its about how the software optimizes it

I have transformer tablet, and been wondering if any games been taking advantage of the thing.

Items in the tegrazone are just software titles that are "optimized" for the tegra gpu. This could mean nothing more than memory utilization on the tegra chipset.

Odds are that the titles may not be updated due to developers not making tegra optimized apps anymore, or rather slowly.
