If your Razr is showing up as a mobile device in My Computer and you can transfer files from the phone to the computer, are the drivers "installed" for the purposes of rooting even though the ADB isn't showing up in Device Manager?

The drivers will let your device show up in ADB in Device Manager. I don't think you can root this phone without having the drivers installed. My computer was really finicky about where I had everything located when I ran the exploit. I finally got it dialed in and rooted, now I am on the leaked ICS and couldn't be happier.
That's the thing. The drivers seem to be working because the Razr is showing up as a device, but the ADB isn't showing up in Device Manager. Its weird.

No issues so far. I backed up root with Voodoo, and placed the zip file in /cache and /root, and had no issues recovering root. I came from rooted .173, and had never installed a recovery. The method lined out is simple enough, I've done much sketchier stuff on my old Fascinate. No issues for me so far at all. Better battery life, much snappier animations, its smooth!
I came to the Maxx from the Nexus, and this phone trumps the Nexus all day long now that I can haz my ICS...
