Question about Message+

Decided to check out the Verizon message+ app that is pre-installed on the phone. Other than it's home screen icon looking out of place and ugly, and it sometimes uses alot of battery, it's a pretty decent messaging app. It even has a message pop-up box that, if you wake the screen, can see it over the lock screen. The only problem is it doesn't notify you via Moto Display. The annoying thing about this is, it's a Verizon app on an exclusively Verizon phone. Everything else will notify you this way even 3rd party apps. Is there something in the settings I'm missing? Odd that a native Verizon app wouldn't utilize the features of a Verizon phone.

3. Tap gear in upper right corner
4. Tap Display
5. Tap "Select apps to Display"
6. Check mark Message+
