Question about original Evo ruu

I have a question that through my searching has not been directly answered clearly....If I upgraded to 1.47.651.1, is there a way that I would be able to downgrade to the original EVO release ruu? From there I could simply redo the unrevoked 1 method and stay with that for a while. I understand that the new 1.47.651.1 can be fully rooted, but I don't want to fully root, I was happy with unrevoked.

I don't want to fully root because I was under the impression that apps wont update in the market. Is that right? Thanks everyone

I update my apps all the time through the market as long as they have been downloaded through the market or appbrain. So atleast on RvU's rom that is false.
