question about pictures with location recorded.

so if i send the picture to someone, can they somehow find out where i took the picture?

Yes--the GPS location data becomes part of the photo's information. You can remove all of that kind of data on Windows (and, I assume, on a Mac) by selecting the photo in Windows Explorer and selecting the appropriate option after right clicking it.

Pretty much. It'd be GPS coordinates, but you can easily input that into Google Maps and find out an address.

Check your camera settings--there is probably a setting to turn it off. On my Razr Maxx, the stock camera has a setting for "Geo-tag," which can be turned off.
