Question about reformatting sd card

Thats the thing, it does it to every folder, and every single file. At first I thought it was just one, but then I tried copying the files and folders one at a time and again got the error.

Try copying the file to the root of your computer's C drive.

Im not trying to hijack the thread but i have a brand new 16gb class 6 card that im going to use. I wasnt planning on copying the files off the stock card to the new one since i can download htc sync directly from the web. Are there any other programs or files needed on the stock card?

I don't think that it's needed on your card. It's a windows executable, so install it on windows, then you can delete it.

So I tried connecting the phone via usb and doing it, and sure enough it transferred everything no problem. Now the question is, should I put in the new card and format it with the phone or with the PC?

The phone option seems to be working, so lets not push our luck. Use the phone.
