Hello :)

I have a HTC Amaze 4g, rooted & running Quick Sense 3.0. I would like to remove bloatware apps that I dont use like "Facebook", "Facebook For Sense", "Peep", "Stocks" & "Google Maps" which I froze before using App Quarantine but that made my "Navigation" app disappear and not work at all so my general question is WHAT APPS IS IT SAFE TO REMOVE?? :) THANKS FOR THE HELP AHEAD OF TIME

i use 'root browser' to remove bloatware, add/remove boot animations, add/remove boot audio, etc... excellent app!... be sure to thank the dev and go pro if you can... id also get rid of app quarentine and install watchdog... not watchdog3g!.. once again, be sure to thank the dev and go pro if you can... i highly advise setdns/pro and auto memory manager/pro... all available from the market... you wont be disappointed... hope this helps... :-)

Most stock apps such as Facebook, Google Maps, Gmail, etc are generally safe to remove. The reason why your Navigation app stopped working is because I do believe that Google Maps and Navigation are connected.

Try clearing your Navigation's data/cache and see if it works from there. When I removed most of my phones stock apps I didn't have any issues with other apps working etc..

(until I removed my browser app because I had downloaded a app that worked better from the market so why have two browsers, right? ..Well when I removed it, it did not allow my Dolphin Browser to work. It would force close the moment I opened it. Wouldn't even load.. -- I uninstalled/reinstalled Dolphin Browser and I've never had a issue since.)

Thanks for the help :) ill try uninstalling and reinstalling the navigation app again to see if that helps.

all user apps are safe to remove... as for system apps... id be careful what you delete... be sure to make a nandroid backup in recovery before you remove any system apps so you have a fallback... general rule of thumb is dont remove something if you dont have something installed to take its place... ie; keyboards/ launchers/icons/tts, etc... id check with your roms dev just to be sure... but as long as you have a backup in place you should be allright to experiment... :-)

navigation disappeared because it runs through maps... you froze maps, rendering navigation useless so the icon disappeared...

so i froze google maps and wasnt able to find navigation app anywhere not even under applications>manage applications>all

its no where to be found lol..so i guess im stuck with google maps always running in the background ugh...if anyone has a way to freeze or uninstall google maps with the navigation app still working perfectly fine please let me know :)

it doesnt work that way... unfreeze maps when you want to use navigation... when youre done, go into settings>applications>running applications> and stop maps... navigation will stop with maps... they work together...
