Question about ROMs with the Galaxy S7 Edge

Recently unlocked my phone from ATT and am now on TMobile. My question is about receiving updates.

Is it possible to just load a Factory Unlocked Galaxy S7 Edge Rom to get the updates from Samsung?

Is there a better way to do this?

You won't get the updates with the T-Mobile sim installed. You can probably hook up to Samsung smart switch and get the update.
