I had my phone rooted and the update broke it. Is there a way to fix this?

Secondly, my phone is completely stock except for root. When I turn it off and back on, tge boot screen shows an icon of an unlocked lock and says custom. Is it doing this because of the root. It never used to do this on ics. Or did the update unlock the bootloader?

I have yet to find out why it is showing custom on starting up. Did this happen to anyone else.

Happened to me with root. I installed ez unlocker v1.2 and unlocked the bootloader and the icon vanished.

Will unlocking the bootloader perform a factory reset on this phone? Also can I root with easy unlocker?

The phone should already be rooted on ICS and then you use OTA Rootkeeper yo save root. Then restore it once upgraded. You then reboot for the root to take effect. Unlocking the bootloader does nothing to the phone. It makes it load a bit faster. Use EX Unlocker. Ez Unlocker will not reset the phone.

The problem is that the upgrade was already installed before I used root keeper. How do i re root the phone?

Odin back to ICS. Then procede from there.
