question about samsung pay

I have been using pay and it works most of the time but sometimes it asks for a pin number I put in my pin and it is always declined any one have any ideas. Today I went to Bank and they issued me another pin it worked at Bank ATM then I went to supermarket and used watch and I get a message wrong pin any ideas
 
When using the app for purchases, Samsung Pay uses a specific PIN you set up in the app - not the same PIN you would use with the physical card at the ATM or at a debit card machine.

Exact opposite. You use your normal physical card pin with Samsung pay used as debit. The pin setup in Samsung pay is for verifying your ID to the app. I use my real plastic card pin number for all debit purchases with my Samsung pay chase debit card.

It could be an issue with your bank. I have PNC and PNC users can only use Credit. If we attempt to use debit, it won't work. Ironically, PNC Debit works great on Android Pay. I researched the issue and have found that many other users were experiencing the same exact issue I was that has PNC as their bank.

To make sure my payments go through I always have them do it as a credit. If it ask for a pin on the screen then I cancel it then it ask do you want to do transaction as credit. I click on yes button or click on green enter button...depends on what is available. Then it goes through.
 
I have a separate PIN set in my app and that's what I was referring to - the only time I use the ATM pin is on a terminal. I understood the OP to be asking about the app, not the terminal, but I could be mistaken.
