Question about why the Tab S came out so soon after the 4 and the Pro?

I was just wondering. Part of my "research" in determining which device to buy (I had pretty much narrowed it down to a Samsung device by that time) was finding out which tablet came out when. On searching, what I found was that the Tab 4 came out in April, the Pro came out in, I think May, and then the S came out in July. I know the speed with which they came out didn't have anything to do about if one flopped, or anything like that, but why did they release three devices (well, four if you count the 10.1 to be a different device from the 8.4) so close to each other - within four months of each other. I went ahead and got the 8.4 for a couple reasons, but I'm still wondering about why three devices so quickly right after each other? I'm really only seeing minor differences.

It was samsung. The tab pro was good, I bought one and like everyone else was surprised when the s came out a few months later. It would've been better to wait for the s to come out and get better prices on tab pro, but that's what happens sometimes with phones and tablets, the companies always want to make more money and have better devices.

Also, the tab pro was the first tablet of it's kind, so Samsung marketed it to early adopters and shortly later released an updated model. They probably made some cash from that old trick. I like the tab s a little better, it's has some improvements, but I'm happy with the tab pro for now.
