OK, here's the thing. The VZ OTA keeps downloading on my unlocked, rooted, CleanROM 1.5.5 setup. Of course it never completes, just says rejected by user, even when I say "OK, do it I dare ya!" LOL.
My question. I've used X-Plore to set perms on the file and the "fumo" directory to 400, but the OTA still overwrites and replaces the file, then it has 777 perms again.
I figure if it can't overwrite the existing file, the download will just fail, but doesn't seem to work. Does VZ have some super-super user permission or sumptin?
Any ideas how to make the download itself fail, rather than just the install? Of course I don't really care, I never (rarely) use wifi. Since I have unlimited data, I leave it on 4G/LTE and Big Red is using their own network to keep pushing the file.
Would be nice to just put up this roadblock to them though.
