So with the S7 Edge, if I plug it into my car, I always need to select which type of USB connection I want in order to use Android Auto. With my Nexus 6P, I don't need to and it starts Android Auto automatically. Can anyone tell me if it either A. starts Android Auto automatically or B. makes you select which USB connection you want (if it does, can you set a default?)

Thanks in advance!

I do believe he is asking how the 10 behaves when plugging in not how the s7 does....
(huh there was a post above mine that made my statement make sense.... not so much now)

It works straightaway. You don't have to change connection type.

HM, when I plug mine in, it presents the options menu for various connections type BUT a pop-up shows and asks if I want to allow file sharing. It seems like I need to click yes every time before Android auto is allowed to start. I really wish there was a way around this.

It may have to do with the output of your charger. Try it with a higher output one.
