You people that got the Note 8, then got the Pixel 2 XL and can't decide which one to keep--do you simply return one within the return period and eat the restocking fee? Or what do you do?

Do you swap sim cards between the phones depending on which one you want to use on a particular day?

Me personally I havent done it in a couple years now damn you mortgage payment lol but I used swap sim card with which phone I was feeling that day and match my mood and outfit

I usually don't swap just after getting a phone. I will a few months later. Such as I had the S8+ before this and I sold that after buying the Pixel 2 XL.

That's how I did it 2013 thru most of 2017. I've decided to stick with the Note 8 without sim swapping until the S9 or maybe the N9. Every year until 2017 I had the newest iPhone and a high end Android. I'm tired of swapping back and forth and the N8 is the device to have this year.

I always have a backup phone just in case I also have a one plus 5 for example just switch between phones at times because you know I am crazy

Yeh, I do. The only pain is the whole WhatsApp verification thing. Really wish they’d give us multi device support or Apple releases iMessage on android.

Otherwise yes I regularly swap my sim over.

I sell previous phones on Craigslist. I've also used eBay. I've once used a site that buys phone (forgot which one). It was convenient, but I didn't think I got fair value. My phones are typically dent/scratch-free when I sell, and I haven't had trouble getting a fair-to-me price when selling direct.

I really, really wish the carriers and manufacturers would get on the simfree train. We should be able to change what phone we use by changing a setting in the device. The sim should be built in. You would only be able to use one phone at a time per line but sim swapping would become a thing of the past.

I generally swap out sims, for now Pixel 2 XL is the main driver but will be switching to iPhone X when it delivers to me. Once I get bored with that for couple of weeks will switch sim to my other phones. Generally, I'll always keep a pixel and iPhone with me, others will use it for a couple of months and sell it or if it's horrible like it has been with LG phones this year on G6 and V30 they go back within the return period. Most of the time I have some 3 devices lying around and switch sim based on what's going on in a particular phone like if there is some update I want to try or stuff like that.

Most people I know poke fun at me for my phone switching. Nice to be amongst like minded people!

Of course, yes I have problem and 1 phone per year should be more than enough, but still so many phones so little time!

I phone swap a lot. I have a sim card in each phone. I will usually do it online but if not at a computer then I just call.

I'll usually use one for a week, then switch to the other. In the case of the 2XL, my plan was to get that, then upgrade my carrier phone from a Note 8 to an iPhone X. Then I'd use one for a week and switch to the other for a week and so on. The only reason is I like both iOS and Android, so it'd be nice to have both. (Plus, the downside to T-Mobile jump on demand is once you get a phone you have to either pay it off or upgrade, and you can't just turn it in if you don't want it anymore)

I just switched from the OG Pixel to the Pixel 2. I still have an iPhone 7 that I also use on occasion. (Although I've listed the iPhone 3 times to sell it and end up cancelling the ad before it sells. Just haven't been able to get rid of it yet.) I will list the OG Pixel on eBay, Swappa, or Craigslist to recoup a fair share of my original purchase price. I always case the phones I get and add screen protection so they stay like new. Usually gets me a great return when I sell the phone with the various cases I purchase for it. And I have always just switched the same sim card from phone to phone. I just make sure not to turn on iMessage if I use the iPhone so it doesn't mess with my texting.

I hear ya. My wife is my biggest critic with my phone hopping. She's probably not completely wrong but it's so hard to stop.... As you said - so many phones.....

I've been switching between Z Force, and Z Play for the last year, along with a few others. I will use one device a few days and decide to switch. Never once had to replace a sim. Must have reactivated sims st least 30-40 times.

I was switching between the exact two phones for awhile too. Both amazing phones for different reasons.

I don't do much swapping with my phones. As far as switching phones, I use Swappa ALOT! Bought my S8+ (from Verizon) for 350, sold my S8+ on Swappa for 525, and Bought my N8 (NIB) for 700....it's all a process, lol

Like playing the stock market - lots of fun - bought/sold about 4 phones this year.
