Question: How does one turn off the 3G?

Hey y'all, got a question for you intelligent people

My boss recently had gotten himself the Fascinate and is soon leaving for overseas for a short business trip. Is there a way to turn off just the 3G from accessing the network? He will be going to a country where there isn't a great (if at all) CDMA presence and it wouldn't be great to rack them expensive overseas roaming charges

He will take it overseas because he is also stopping by Korea for a while and obviously, CDMA works there

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Under mobile networks in data settings can't he just turn off data roaming?
