question: is there a forum here for ANDROID-based TV "sticks?" specifically the G96

Hey, I know the ANDROID CENTRAL forums are primarily for phones, but is there a forum where I can ask about ANDROID TV devices?

I bought the G96 TV STICK, I am hoping it wasn't a waste of money - so far I can't even get the included remote control to pair with the device. My first thought is to purchase an alternate remote with better instructions and see if that pairs properly with the unit.

Sure, there's the Android TV forum (which I moved this thread to). But be aware, that we typically don't get many good answers about these kinds of devices, mostly because generic/off-brand Android TV boxes/sticks have many different manufacturers in China, each providing zero support. It's always a better idea to go with a Google TV device from a well-known manufacturer, like the Google TV Streamer, Walmart's Onn. Google TV, or even the venerable NVIDIA Shield TV Pro.

thank you - yes, I am beginning to agree with you - the G96 may be a waste of time and money and I may try to return this - it's NOT a good omen if the manual provided does NOT even tell you how to correctly pair the bluetooth (?) remote with the device itself!
