Is it okay if I plug in my dinc to charge overnight,or will it overcharged and overtime decrease battery life and fry the battery?

So is it okay for the device to charge overnight for hours even after the phone is fully charged. Sorry today is the first day iv had this phone.

No that is why you will hear all this talk about bump charging. The Since charger does not have a maintenance mode in it, so when the battery is done its not going to get any more charge.

Okay thanks. So it won't decrease battery life if I just wave it plugged in?

Battery life will decrease for the next use. Once the charger tops off the battery, it won't use the charger for the rest of the time it's plugged in. Instead it runs off of the battery. Therefore, you can wake up and have 70% of your battery left.

Long term battery lose? No. By the way, I think bump charging is bad for your battery. I recommend turning off the phone if your charging it overnight. Why would you need it on anyways if you are sleeping??

I do think having your phone on over night can be important to a lot of people. I know I would hate to miss an important phone call from a family member or friend that is in an emergency and needs my help just because I needed a better charge through the night.

Now that phones have standardized charging accessories (micro-usb) I find it hard to believe that bump charging is necessary in most cases, though I do understand people that are away from any power for long periods of time. Any car charger, laptop, wall outlet etc can be used to plug it in for a little while. Even when you don't have your own charger, someone is bound to have one where you are.

As for your concern, I leave my phone plugged in on the night stand nearly every night and over night and have been doing so since I received it on launch. No problems yet
