Question on ADW Launcher Ex and ICS

I still prefer a lot of what ADW Launcher Ex offers over ICS but there's a few things I want to get to work on it. One is the search bar.

* Any way to get the thin, see-through google search bar that's in ICS? The Google Search widget shows as gray/opaque in ADW L EX.

I know there is a Black Google app available...

Not sure if that is what your looking for.

I think that is all you have...

I've used the Black Google Search app and its not bad... Not my taste but it does work for some... Doubt if your going to see anything "official" from Google on this.

OK. I just don't feel comfortable using non-google widget for this as it'd have access to pretty much everything you look up/do, etc on the device. Too bad, they don't make the search bar a widget.

I hear ya.. You know I worry about Google tracking my info about .0001 % of the time..... There are easier ways on Internet now to get a hold of what your doing besides your cell phone and the apps and how you use them.

It tries to add the widget to the dock, not create a folder, like it does on the stock ICS launcher.

There are some things I like about ADW that I wish Android would adopt. I was using ADW with the ICS theme for a while. I like how you can set how close you want icons to be, how many rows/columns appears on a screen in the app drawer, the ability to add home screens, and continuous scrolling so when you got to the last home or app screen it would go back to the beginning if you swiped to the right again instead of what it does now.

I'm giving the stock launcher a day or two before possibly going back to ADW. I agree the continuous scrolling was nice plus I miss the ability to swipe up to bring open all of my apps and swipe down any where to bring down the notification curtain.

I've been running the free version of ADW and thinking of upgrading to ADW.EX for the additional options...anyone know if my setup with be preserved, just adding in the new EX options, or will I have to set up everything (widgets, icons, etc) all over again as if it's a whole new launcher?
