Question on Compass

I wanted to check the accuracy of my compass so I downloaded the compass app and according to it, my compass is horrible, out of whack, doesn't stop moving and is affected by everything around me.

However, if I instead use Google Maps, the compass is PERFECT. It gets my direction instantly (after the figure eight calibration) and never wavers or is affected by anything. When I move, it 100% accurately shows what direction I'm moving/facing towards.

Anyone else get this same result?

I don't know about the app. But the compass sucks in my opinion. Even in maps. Ill use the sun and stars before I use the compass on here. Lol
