Question on spacing of icons on home screen

I just got a Galaxy A50 with StraightTalk and got it setup with my launcher (Nova) icons, etc.

My question is does anyone know how to reduce the space between the rows of icons? I uploaded a screenshot of my homescreen so you can see what I'm talking about.

I've been fiddling with the Nova settings, but I can't seem to fix it. I tired the "overlap" option, but then each icon is almost sitting on top of the other one so that didn't work.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I tried that, too,but it didn't help with the spacing between the rows.
The spacing will depend on the grid size, there's no way to avoid that. If you tell me what you want to achieve I could try to find a workaround. For example, I wanted two rows of icons very close together and used sub-grid position after changing the number of rows and the icon size.

I tried changing the grid and icon size, but it's still not quite there. As you can see in the screenshot subgrid position it sits right on top so that doesn't work.

You can try with one row less, keep the sub-grid position and select large padding using this slider.

Another possibility is selecting more rows (maybe 7-8), don't use sub-grid position and make the icon size bigger. Worth a try.

Thanks for the tips you guys. It's starting to look a lot better now. I'll try out Javier's last suggestion and see if it improves any.

Are you planning to add any widget to your home screen? This can make a big difference when you set the grid.

Yeah I have a weather/clock widget I use. It placed on the home screen ok so the padding and such doesn't seem to be effecting it.
