Question when using Handcent?!

I have downloaded the Handcent messaging App for my 3D however I am wondering, is it possible to turn off the stock messaging program. I will end up getting the message in both Handscent and Regular Thread views and I'm really just trying to have the one in Handscent come through. Is there a way to go about doing this?

Hi! Open the stock messaging app, go to Settings, Notifications, and uncheck Received Notification.
