Guys,

I rooted my phone so I could get wireless tethering and change my status bar. Question is, will i need to unroot to be able to update to 2.2 when it hits OTA? If I don't need to unroot, will the phone not be rooted after the update? What are the odds of someone not being able to root 2.2 then?

I'm debating on doing the leaked update after reading the other thread, but all of that is a little technical for me still. I used easy root, so i should be able to one click unroot...

Help, as always, is much appreciated!

#1 the seaerch function is your friend. using the terms "2.2 ota root" turned up many results.

#2 did you remove any of the factory installed applications (bloatware) after you were rooted? if you did then most liekly you will not be able to get the OTA. if you didnt and you only rooted you should not have a problem getting the OTA update
