1. does a factory reset wipe out data from the sd card & Google repopulates or does it leave alone?
2. How come apps show in sd card on Note 3, when it does not have a sd card, the same apps show as on sd card on tab.
Last night was locked out of tab, for some reason pin would not work (very simple 1 1 2 1) tried for approx 30 mins (5 tries at a time, various combinations). Decided to leave sd card in, I thought that just pulling out without "uninstalling" would be worse. After the reset, noticed was downloading, plugged in to charger & just left alone for 2 or 3 hrs. Had to delete some apps (never deleted from my account on play store) & download several from places other than play store; rearranged home pages. Lost bookmarks from all browsers except chrome (no change) All pictures & music restored like there were, except I lost my playlists. Took about an hour & was back to almost normal. This morning updated apps & had to reset gmail in stock email acct. Have 2 step auth. & stock email can't do that; so got "app password" - 16 digit password from Google that will replace 2 step login (previously did this, so know how)
Google was previously having problems with their cloud music storage (some albums or songs would not show up); when I synced my music to google play music several months ago some music was missing on phone & on computer. On other forums (Google help & others) this issue was common - lots of complaints. The must have fixed the issue because now all my music is now on my phone (Google play music app, not stock app) & still on tab.
