Finally rooted and am ready to install a new ROM to hopefully make my phone look cool and get some longer battery life. Should I be ok if I follow this guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...kup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html#anb

Will I have to back up apps and data too or does the Nandroid backup do that?

Also, which ROMs do you guys recommend? Preferably one I can install from the phone right away, not from sd card unless it's really great.

Next should I follow this to calibrate the battery after installing the new ROM: http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...-calibrate-battery-after-new-rom-install.html

Lastly how I go about upgrading the radios? Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance! Really excited to finally do this.

If you want to use apps in new rom with settings you must back them up first in an app like Titanium or My Backup.

There is a sticky in this firum that explains it all.

Thanks, but where can I download the radio files from? Also do you have any ROM recommendations I can install from ROM manager? How about the battery charging after installing said ROM?

Rom manager roms suck honestly, and installing from sdcard is really easy also.

For First-Timers I would recommend watching some of the videos on YouTube.

It's not a TB, but it's basically the same process. Hope this helps, good luck.

Sent from my ADR6400L using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2

Edit: For a stable ROM for the TB, I would recommend Skyraider Zeus 1.3. It's quick right out the box w/o any MODs. I know it's a lot of posts but I would recommend you read most of them to get an idea of what you are getting into.

Is there a guide for that I can follow?

Yes, in the same link I sent you b4. Did you even look at it?

My rom recommendation is bamf 1.11 (sense 3) or zeus skyraider (sense 2.1) http://teambamf.net/index.php?/topic/1736-[ROM][GB]-SkyRaider-Zeus-1.3-Bolt-[2.11.605.5]#entry40138 from bamf forums if you like sense or Thundershed 1.4 (not 1.6) from rootzwiki if you like aosp. http://rootzwiki.com/index.php?/topic/13354-{CUST}--ThunderShed-v1.6--|--CM7.2--[ICS-ish]-{June,-4}#entry327277

IME newer sense roms don't work as well as the older ones I recommended to you. I wouldnt change radios until you see how the roms work with the radios you already have. I've never had to change radios and I flash lots of roms.

It's better to install roms from recovery than rom manager.
