Quick Charge for Over Night Charging?

I usually charge my phone overnight so it may stay plugged in or on the wireless charger for up to 6 or more hours. Should I turn off the quick charge option to prevent any overheating or other related battery issues? Or is it OK to leave on for when I do need to top off much quicker?

I have mine on quick charge overnight with no problems.

Keep in mind excessive heat is bad for batteries.
Rapid charging often increases the batteries temperature. So if you are charging it over night perhaps allow it to charge slower / less heat and then use rapid charge when you really need it.
Also leaving it plugged in over night is fine, phones / chargers have smart charging to prevent over charging of the batteries.

Yes, it's okay to leave it on your wireless charger overnight.

A good wireless charger will work with your phone's trickle mode. Basically that means when the phone battery reaches above 80% ( or 90% depends on the make ), it will go into trickle mode and only take a fraction of power input to keep your phone battery at near full capacity.

Your wireless charger should know that and only output at the minimum to prevent constant heating or over charge.

If you look on the quick charger, you will notice that it has two values for output. Your phone will pull the correct amount of current during quick charge, and then back off to the lower output during the last 20% I think it is. And all modern electronics have circuitry in them that prevent over charging/heating, your phone included.

I have left my phones on the chargers all night for years. No heating, no problems. I do use only the components that come with the phone (other than the usb cables--I get the longer ones to plug into the adapters).

You can use it, but there are a bunch of studies that show that you should not wait for the phone to discharge a lot before charging it. They suggest that you 'top-up' the phone several times a day. With quick charge that's easy to do.

Of course, I've not actually used any phone for long enough to see a significant drop in battery life. :)

Found some articles stating just this. Good to know.
