Quick Charge is there, after all!

...Although for me it wasn't really a deal breaker if it wasn't there...

It actually was a deal breaker for me. My current G3 has good battery life, but there have been several days where I'm off of the charger at 5:30 in the morning and not able to really charge until 10:30 at night. On those days, I'm usually dead around 5 pm.

Quick charging makes all the difference in the world in that, when I have to go cover a story, the time it takes me to get there gives me enough charge to make it through the end of whatever I'm covering.

While battery life matters more than QC, I really would have liked built in Qi charging. That way I could just plunk it down wherever I am. However, AT&T will likely mess that up again.

Your probably right about ATT messing things up. I do know that I will be getting a spare battery anyway to take with me wherever I go... I'm not going to chance them playing games with us on it.

Who's cares? I care, so that's all that matters. If you don't, good for you.

Multiple reviewers said they tried using other chargers with the g4 and got a "this phone will charge faster with the proper charger" or something similar. So some reviewers were obviously looking at the charging rate, which lead to my question before. It's very odd this was missed.

This question was already answered earlier in the thread. It was a licensing issue and only needs to be activated via software. LG probably didn't want to pay the royalties to qualcom initially but then changed their minds, likely due to consumer reaction
