Holy buckets. I don't know what to say. It went from 32% to 100% in exactly 1 hour while downloading apps, system updates, and syncing contacts. I'm blown away.

Nice. Does it get warm during charging?

You bet! It was nice and toasty. But I'm reserving judgement on that first charge. I installed 2 system updates, updated a bunch of apps, was syncing my contacts and emails, and installing the missing apps. That will heat up any phone I've used.

Please update with next charge or when you can regarding heat.
Nothing kills a lithium battery faster than charging while hot.

I believe its a 2.0A charger so it def should be fast! My only concern is if this quick charging harms and/or deteriorates the battery faster than normal?!?

I used my turbo charger for my nexus 6 and it works to quick charge did not notice any more heat than my nexus 6 or s6 when quick charging. I will pay more attention on the next few rounds of charging.

Very quick charge. It did not get as hot as my Note 3, which only supports Quick charge 1.0, not 2.0, and charges slower.

I just got mine today, and it just gets a little warm (as long as I'm not using it intensely while charging as well).

My first impression was that it doesn't work! Then I reseated both the cable ends and it worked amazingly well. I won't use it every day, but the AC charger will live in my work bag and I have a car charger in the mail. It will be really nice to have the option to quick charge.

This thing does charge SUPER fast. Last night I went from 2% to 100% in about 40 minutes. That was with no usage while charging.. Just normal emails that it received and such.

Forgot to mention that charge is with the 18W charger.

Do you get a notification on the phone when the quick charger has been plugged in, like with the Note 4 and Droid Turbo?

No. I've only been using the quick charger so far and haven't seen any notification. And it's definitely utilizing the quick charge function.

There's a little ➕ sign in the battery icon when it's quick charging...

Ah, good catch. I had not noticed since I hadn't used any other charger. I thought that was just what the charging symbol on Asus looked like.

Last night for the first time I noticed on the phone's Lockscreen (once the phone is plugged in) that it actually tells you how long it will take to fully charge the phone. How did I not notice this before? Very cool.

I've plugged it in today and it did not tell me how long it would take to charge, I wonder how this is triggered?

How long did you leave it plugged in for? I've noticed it seems to take a little bit to decide. It also takes a few seconds to go from "USB charging" to "AC Charging" to "Fast Charging". (Those terms may not be correct, I'm going off memory)

It only shows the remaining time after quick charging is done.

Nope it just starts charging. It will say "Quick Charging" on the lock screen though. I am still blown away on how fast it goes.
