Quick, general question about battery saver mode

I turn off WiFi, data and location before I go to bed (except maybe some Friday and Saturday nights hehe). Would turning on battery saver make a big difference?

It may be worth noting that I have the screen setting "Always On" turned off.

Thanks!

It won't be super noticeable, but it will still make an impact. Since you're sleeping, turning the screen on (or the fact that it reduces resolution) won't affect much, but Battery Saver also turns background sync off, so apps won't be using processing power or data in the background, and that will save battery.

battery saving apps usually lower power consumption by means you cant do yourself that's why you should use it
but you don't have to download any app i think any phone now days have a power saver mode built in

I have the Pixel 2 XL and my battery life has been good enough that I've never considered doing what you're doing. I like "Always On" so I never turn it off. I use Bluetooth quite often so I leave it on all the time. WiFi is always ON and Data is always ON as I work from my home using Google Fi. I'm in a cell tower deprived area when at home and I rely on WiFi for my phone communications.

Anyway, for me the bottom line is that my Pixel 2 XL battery life is so good that I've never felt the need to turn on the "Battery Saver" option and I pay no attention to trying to save battery life. Even though I'm a heavy user, I can easily go through an entire day with plenty of battery left at day's end.

Agreed with the amazing battery life! I'm out and about during the days, and I don't like charging my phone overnight, so I do all I can no matter how good the battery is.

With everything off (wifi/data/bluetooth/always on/location) I usually lose about 10% of battery through an 8-9 hour night of sleep. Last night I lost 1% with all this off and battery saver mode on (might be redundant to turn everything off then turn on battery saver mode...oh well)

OK. When charging overnight I'm trusting the charger technology to work as designed and shut off when the battery is fully charged. I always start the day with a full charge.
