Hi

I've just released 'Quick GPS Position Pro', a GPS App which is supporting the following things:

Position:
- Decimal
- Degrees
- UTM
- MGRS
AND SOON IN VERSION 1.1.0:
- QTH
- Ordnance Survey National Grid (UK)
- SWISSGRID*CH1903+ support
- Gauß-Krüger support (Germany only)

The Speed:
- km/h
- mph
- m/s
- knots!

Elevation/height:
- Meter
- Feet

Heading:
- Degree (not reliable in low speeds)

Vibration:
- Option to turn on or off Vibration on GPS capture or loss

Option for 'app always on' available
Option to show either the time of the last known position OR the time ago (in sec/min/hours) since then
Option to show last known position on Startup

IMPORTANT:
If you have a Bluetooth connection available to your phone and GPS on on your phone, it is using your phone's Position. Turn off Bluetooth (and GPS on on your phone) to use the phone's GPS.

Just search for 'Quick GPS Position' or go to the Utilities-Section on Galaxy App Store and to 'New'

Thanks for the support, I will try to implement more things soon!

Hi,
looks and usefull!

Is it possible to add a feature to send the position as a "Google Earth Link" to other users via Whatsapp (to 1 from 4 pre defined receiver/contacts, f.e.).
This will be great! So no smartphone needed to send the actuall position ...

I also have more ideas ;-)

Hi Martin
Hm how should that work? Send a link using WhatsApp but without a phone? That's not possible.

Version 1.1.0 available.

Version 1.2.0 coming soon with the following Things:

- New format supports:
-> ddd°mm.mmm
-> N ddd°mm.mmm
-> ddd°mm.mmm N
-> N ddd°mm'sss"
-> ddd°mm'sss" N
-> N ddd.dddddd N
-> ddd.dddddd N
- Fix for a wrong MGRS calculation (Thx chmod for reporting)
- Added exponential moving average (Thx Sami for suggesting)
- Changed Always On to 'OFF' by default (Samsung requirement)

Just curious - how are folks using this app? To get position when out and about for navigation, or just fun to know exactly where you are?

Also, @Ruttensoft, can't tell from the description - is there an option in this app to send your location to others via text or ?
