Quick messaging/privacy question

Ok so I don't want that HUGE txt message on the lock screen so I turned that off. But in doing so It also disables the txt message notification in the notification bar. Is there a way to disable to former without disabling the latter? Thanks

did you try changing you lock screen to something else, like htc or weather. Mine shows me my texts in the notification bar, but not on lock screen. I'm also using GV so YMMV, but i don't see why it wouldn't work.

Thanks for the tip. I just now changed it to newsfeed so I'll see if that does it.

Tried it...the huge message still pops up even though I have newsfeed selected...any other ideas anyone?
