Is it worth upgrading from Note 10 Plus? Im looking for another phone with an SD Card. I can get a 512G Note 20 Ultra 5g for about 400.

Thank you.

It's a very nice phone & mine is still working fine. That being said, it's done with updates. I kept mine as a backup phone.

U.S. Software is:

One UI version - 5.1
Android version -13
Security patch - August 2, 2024

It's a 4 year old phone, not that much newer than your Note 10+.

I'm not sure if it's really worth it or not. I'd try & look for something a bit newer that would still get updates, but that's just me.

Edit: After my long post I see that @mustang7757 already filled you in on the security. I type so slow....

All good

Per my reply in the other thread, yes. It's still worth it. It's still going to get security patches for a little while, albeit quarterly. Even after that, you are running on Google Play Services with a relatively newer version of Android software still. Your device isn't going to be immediately done for. There are some people that I've seen, like yourself, that use even older devices. There are lots of people who refuse to give up their Note 9, a device from six years ago.

Mine does great.

Do we know for how long the 20 will be getting security updates?

I honestly suspect that we will probably get quarterly updates until next August.
