i have the unlimited 4g for tmobile
if i root my phone can i activate the mobile hotspot again?
and if i can
what do i do to get it going

If you root then you can download a free app that will do the same thing. I use wifi tether.

I thought if you had the new unlimited 4G plan that wifi hotspot was included? If not then google for free wifi tether apps (Foxfi, wifi tether, etc,) just look around there are a LOT of free tethering apps out there.

You get free hotspots if you pick the 5MB package, not unlimited. And its $5 extra. Possibly worth it for those who need a hot spot often. I'm debating on switching to it after I see how much I use even with all of music streaming I do.
