I've had a number of iPhones for the past few years and I'm looking to change to a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. The only problem is that I'm currently tied into a contract with an iPhone 5 handset, obviously with a nano-SIM. If I were to put a mini-SIM adaptor on to my nano-SIM would it be fully compatible with the S3 mini? I know it seems like a really stupid question but I'm unsure and need a second opinion.

Thanks.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The contract is on the phone, not the sim. Also the sim is not tied directly to the phone, so you can swap phones as you wish. The sim contains your number and your level of service with that carrier, it is not limited to that phone only. This is why most people prefer GSM (simcards) to CDMA, switching phones easily on the fly. You probably could even get a new micro sim to use on the Mini if you don't plan on using the iPhone.
