Question Quick share problems

Hi. When people try to quick share videos to me I only get the audio. No visual component. Phone is saying I don't have the right codec? I have a galaxy a 15 and it's the same with many different senders from different galaxy models. All videos just come through as audios. I've downloaded vlc player but that does not work properly either. Why does my phone not have the right codec? Everyone else i know does? And how do I resolve this? Thank you.

Just the standard I guess??? All my family can can recieve videos fine . My friends too. I may have stumbled on some information on Google. Something about the a 15 models cant recieve videos well or something? Something about codecs? Is that right? Can I download anything to fix it?

Did you try any of things listed in your search?

When I asked it gave me, a smidge of confirmation there's something up with the A15 and videos, and suggestions on how to solve some of them. Did you try any of those suggestions?

I especially like the cache suggestions as this seems like the type of bug that could be caused by a dirty cache.

In order to figure out what the video format is, you'd have to look at the file information. If you can locate the file that was shared with you using My Files, see what the file extension is -- MP4? MOV? Something else?

If you can't find it on your phone, then ask to see it on the sender's phone.
