Hey guys, I have a nooby software question for you:

I was playing with my brother's HTC Hero this morning and he had an app on there that was a built in Instant Messing client that had MSN messenger integration. He told me that the app was pre-installed on his phone.

My question is, will the thunderbolt have an app like this? I use MSN Messenger to chat with my family in Europe and the Middle East and it would be great to have a native MSN app. I havent had any luck with the MSN apps from the marketplace on my Dinc.

Thanks Guys!

I didn't have that on DInc, so maybe not. But you can easily download an app for instant messaging that will let you chat on MSN. There are quite a few out there. There are some for just MSN only if that is the only Instant Messaging client that you use.

The MSN Talk was the best MSN app, but is gone now as Micro$oft got offended by the naming of it.

And yes, the Hero came with a pre-installed MSN, AIM, Google Chat, and Yahoo! app called "Chat"...Haven't seen it on any of the others.

i never understood y there were people that just use MSN, AIM is so much more widely used and works flawlessly

I found that on Android phones, google talk is the best. It pushes replies just as fast as text messages and is sent using data, not text messages.
