if yall can answer this for me, I would appreciate it alot. I have my preorder @ sprint & r.s.. I'm getting both phones but I was goin to trade in my pre @ r.s. And get like $55 credit toward the epic. Problem is yesterday I'm on vacation and in the excitement to play with my kids I jumped in the pool and didn't realize I had my phone with me until like and hour in. (i was just planning on takeing pics of them...dumb me) So.... Question is does sprint cover/repair water damage with the top warranty option. And do I have to pay the $100 deductible for a new phone cause I'm not sure if that's just for if I have a lost or stolen phone..thanks in advance.

Yes, water damage is covered. I also think that you do have to pay the 100 dollar deductible for a new phone.

TEP covers everything, including water damage. Damage can be unintentional or intentional. You could literally walk into a Sprint store, set your phone down on the counter, whip out a hammer, and smash your phone to bits. If you do this, you can get a new refurbished phone for $100. You might also get arrested, so I don't recommend you actually try this.

You mention that you intend to trade your phone in for a $55 credit. Have to say, I'm not seeing the wisdom in paying a $100 deductible to get a $55 credit. It would be more efficient to take $45 cash out of your wallet and simply light it on fire.

Enjoy your Epic!

my pre suffered the same fate a few weeks ago. however i let it dry out for 3 days and it fired up again and it works! only problem is it drains the battery at 5x the rate it did before and runs a little warmer than before but it's worked long enough to bridge me over to get the epic tomorrow.

My wife fully submerged her Centro in the sink once. Thought it was done, but a few days later after it dried out it worked fine.
