Can Quickoffice be added to the split pane view? Polaris Office just doesn't display docs as well as Quickoffice does.

Thanks!

If you go to hold the back button so that the multi-window bar is on the side of the screen, you should be able to edit what apps are in that bar. If the app doesn't show up in the list of apps you can use then you can't use it :( Maybe if you were to root it and run a TouchWiz based ROM. Some of them allow you to use any app with multi-window

To the best of my knowledge, the Note 10.1 2014 has not been rooted yet, let alone have ROMs developed for it. As for the MultiWindow hack that allows any app, it's also nowhere to be seen YET. Someone pointed out in another thread that the price point of this tablet might be slowing things down in the development department, but it's only a matter of time, really...

Thanks for the responses!

I can definitely see the price of entry being and issue with developer support, but I was hoping that Samsung would continue to extend the Multi Window capabilities. I've read a bit more, and it appears to be something that any application can use, they just need to enable the hooks.

I'm trying not to spend the money unless the device meets my specific needs, but damn, the Note 10.1 is a nice device.

I just checked and quick office doesn't show up in the multiwindow bar. Office suite pro does. I have not compared them featurewise.

Just to be fair to Samsung, the MultiWindow API IS open... And it's out there. Developers are the ones who must implement it on their apps to be compatible, not the other way around. The hack that allows any app to work basically just takes the app and forces the API to work with it, but you risk it being unstable.
